Dr. Alastair Hicks:
I joined GHI as it is a scientific network to promote global harmonization of food safety regulations and legislation. As Ambassador to Thailand for the Global Harmonization Initiative I have promoted the global harmonization of food safety or nutrition regulations/laws in all of my activities where relevant. This has taken me beyond the borders of Thailand, where I am based, to the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific countries. Thailand has often been used as a good example for these countries in applying GHI principles.
