I want to join GHI to connect my work in food safety and quality — built over 12+ years across HACCP, ISO 22000, and multiregion audit and compliance work — to a global, science-based framework rather than operating within a single company’s or country’s isolated standards, because I’ve seen how food safety and nutrition rules can be technically correct on paper yet still applied inconsistently in practice, with different auditors, companies, and regions interpreting the same general requirement differently based on their own training or background, so that two operations can both claim compliance while managing very different actual levels of risk. My goals are to contribute practical, on-the-ground experience to GHI’s consensus-building. efforts, help identify and bring in other qualified food safety professionals from my network, and support the broader effort of
making food safety science more consistent and harmonised — giving everyone the same reference point to calibrate against rather than leaving interpretation to chance. Ultimately, I see this as a way to extend the work I already do — protecting consumers and improving industry practice — beyond the scope of any single organisation or region.
